The 2024 Ford Escape Hybrid is a compact crossover SUV that combines elegant styling, generous amenities, and smooth electric performance. Two hybrid powertrains are available: a standard hybrid and a plug-in hybrid. Both contain a 2.5L engine and two electric motors that produce 210 combined horsepower. Still, the standard hybrid regenerates power automatically every time you press down on the brakes, whereas the plug-in hybrid also connects with a power outlet to fully recharge. Front-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission are standard, but all-wheel drive is also available.
The standard hybrid powertrain is available as an option on every trim except for the entry-level Active, whereas the plug-in hybrid is its own separate trim. Standard features include dual-zone automatic temperature control, a power liftgate, LED signature lighting, and the Ford Co-Pilot360 technology. An 8-inch or 13.2-inch infotainment system is also standard. Additional options, such as a panoramic roof and head-up display, are available for purchase.
